Dreamer #2

Antonio Perez gets out the shower of his Columbia University dorm.
Turning on the television the first channel that appears is CNN.
Luckily it was morning and his favorite anchor Victor Blackwell was reporting.
By the tone of his voice and the shape of his eye's something serious was being reported.
According to officials in Washington 45 will soon be dismissing DACA stripping those receiving the program, leaving them unprotected.
Being a Colombian refugee turned college senior this disturbing news turns Antonio's stomach.
Surprisingly hearing this wasn't a shocker to him.
Just maybe I should go back to my country/ or where I came from and show the world that a country like Colombia can be a force to be reckon with he said to himself.
Trying to complete his BA in Criminal Justice would be a powerful tool to help get Colombia out of the slums Antonio thought to himself.
Done with putting on his clothes he walks out of his dorm and heads to the campus library.
Thinking about the outline he would use for his graduation speech that was coming up in the next two months Antonio was lost for words.
Antonio may have a college to attend, friends, along with a caring staff but on the outside the world is not his.- (Work from Notes About Nothing, 9/7/2017)
